The Embassy of the Philippines in Ottawa joined other Philippine Foreign Service Posts in the Americas in a regional training seminar organized by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in relation to the resumption of overseas voters registration for the 2022 National Elections. The seminar took place in Washington, D.C. from 10 to 12 December 2019.
The Embassy was represented by Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel Fernandez III, First Secretary Eric R. Aquino, and Attaché Alvin L. Conchas III.

7 December 2019, Ottawa – The Embassy of the Philippines in Canada joined Filipinos around the world in observing the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women which runs annually from 25 November to 12 December. In cooperation with the Philippine Commission on Women, the Philippine Embassy mounted the official Campaign Icon in its Consular area and distributed information materials on relevant Philippine laws and government programs to assist women and children affected by violence.
Embassy personnel also wore the 2019 Campaign Advocacy Shirt during its Saturday consular service for the month of December to raise awareness on the campaign and encourage the public’s continued vigilance and support in protecting women’s rights #vawfreeph. END.
