28 June 2022, Ottawa. Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles called on Global Affairs Canada Assistant Deputy Minister Paul Thoppil, Chief of Protocol Stewart Wheeler, and Director General Peter Lundy on 20 June 2022 to thank them for their friendship and support during his tenure.
ADM Thoppil congratulated Ambassador Robles for the impressive progress the Credentials Recognition in Canada (CRC) Project is making at the provincial levels. He noted that “the timing was right because Canadians from coast to coast to coast understood the immense value of the Filipino Canadian contribution to Canadian society during the pandemic.”

Embassy Celebrates Filipino Heritage with Felix Y. Manalo Foundation in Ottawa

Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel Fernandez III joins Iglesia ni Cristo District Supervising Minister and Mrs. Jose Razon II (in Barong Filipino) and officials of the Ottawa Congregation at the “Welcome, My Brethren” gathering at Ottawa’s Vincent Massey Park.
The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa attended the celebration of Filipino heritage organized by the Iglesia Ni Cristo and the Felix Y. Manalo Foundation at Vincent Massey Park in Ottawa on 26 June 2022.
Referred to as “Welcome, My Brethren,” participants to the event joined in Filipino dances and games. Traditional Filipino dishes from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao were shared. The event is celebrated worldwide by the Iglesia Ni Cristo in varying themes.
Phase 2 of Credentials Recognition Project Evaluated

Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles convened on 21 June 2022 the first Periodic Assessment Meeting (PAM) for Phase 2 of the Credentials Recognition in Canada (CRC) Project. Senior officials from Philippine Posts in Canada (PPC) were in attendance.
After the successful implementation of Phase 1 of the CRC Project launched in June 2021, Phase 2 is intended to promote formal arrangements between PPC and relevant provincial and municipal governments and regulatory agencies.
A series of PAMs is scheduled bi-monthly to monitor completion of the Action Points in the agreed Plan of Action. Phase 2 is anticipated to be completed by March 2023.
The CRC Project was launched by Ambassador Robles to adopt a coordinated and comprehensive approach in facilitating the accreditation of Filipino professionals in Canada.
PPC is composed of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa and the Philippine Consulates General in Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto.
