13 MARCH 2023 - As part of the month-long celebration of National Women’s Month, the Embassy conducted a Saturday Consular Service dubbed #SerbisyoParaKayJuana 2023 on 11 March 2023.
The Embassy catered to applicants from Ottawa and nearby provinces on their passport renewal, legalization of documents, and application for reacquisition of Philippine citizenship.
The Embassy also provided purple snacks and freebies, including Philippine tourism tote bags, visors, and brochures, to its women clients as a special way to honor them in their month. END

3 March 2023 - The Embassy of the Philippines is pleased to announce the arrival of Philippine Ambassador-designate to Canada Maria Andrelita S. Austria earlier today in Ottawa. She was welcomed by the Heads of Mission of the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO).
Following brief introductions, the ACO HOMs discussed recent updates on the upcoming activities of the Committee as well as developments in Canada.
Ambassador-designate Austria’s appointment as Philippine Ambassador to Canada follows her four-year term as the Philippine Consul General in Vancouver. A public servant since 1986 and a career diplomat since 1992, Ambassador-Designate Austria served as Assistant Secretary for American Affairs at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Philippine Embassy in Washington DC.
The ACO is composed of the heads of the diplomatic missions in Ottawa of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam. END
