28 March 2022, Ottawa – The Embassy of the Philippines in Canada hosted a Roundtable Discussion on Credentials Recognition at the Chancery’s Mindanao Hall today with members of the Philippine delegation led by Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairman J. Prospero De Vera III. Chairman De Vera was joined by Dr. Shirley Agrupis, President of the Mariano Marcos State University, Dr. Joselito Villaruz, President of West Visayas State University, and Ms. Ina Isabella Fanio of CHED.
Philippine Embassy Launches Filipino Restaurant Month from Ottawa

21 March 2022, Ottawa – The Philippine Embassy joined Filipino restaurants throughout Canada for the official launch of the first ever Filipino Restaurant Month in the country.
A project conducted in cooperation with the Philippine Consulates General in Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto in partnership with the Department of Tourism, Filipino Restaurant Month brings focus to the diverse Filipino cuisines available through the various Filipino restaurants in the country.

Ottawa PE Celebrates Women's Month

10 March 2022, Ottawa - Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles led personnel of the Embassy of the Philippines in celebrating Women’s Day. This year’s celebration was highlighted by a screening on 09 March 2022 of “Heels at Work: Do Symbols of Professionalism Imbued with Femininity Offer Women a Leg Up or Create an Unequal Footing for Them in the Workplace?” organized by the Program on Negotiation of the Harvard Law School.
The lecture was conducted by Ms. Sreedari Desai, Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior and Crist W. Blackwell Scholar of the Kenan-Flagler Business School of the University of North Carolina. Prof. Desai shared the results of her studies on the impact of women’s footwear on perceptions of competence, highlighting the gendered norms that continue to exist in the workplace.
