PHILIPPINE NATIONAL ELECTIONS 2025

Registered Filipino overseas voters (in Posts/Countries adopting online voting) may vote online in the May 12, 2025 elections.

To participate, you must be pre-enrolled as an online voter. Pre-enrolment for online voting via the COMELEC Voting Portal is from March 10 to May 7, 2025.

The 30-day overseas voting period is from 13 April 2025 until 12 May 2025, at 7:00PM Philippine Standard Time.

The Embassy of the Philippines in Canada joins the nation in celebrating the Filipino Food Month.

Filipino food has long played a significant role in the lives of the Filipino people everywhere. It has the ability to bind together people with many different backgrounds. The theme for this year’s Filipino Food Month “Pagkaing Sariling Atin, Mahalin at Pagyamanin”, aims to promote and raise awareness about the history behind our culinary heritage and recognize its role in our lives.

In line with this, the Philippine Embassy and Consulates General in Canada launched the second iteration of the Filipino Restaurant Month in Canada (FRMC). It aims to promote and mainstream the Filipino cuisine in Canada, support the Filipino restaurants, highlight the skills of the Filipino chefs, and encourage the use of Philippine-made ingredients. A total of 42 restaurants representing the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, and Saskatchewan are participating in the FRMC, offering prix fixe menus to its customers throughout the entire month of April. Applicants should ensure that they bring with them the complete requirements for their transaction and photocopies of the required documents. There are no photocopying facilities inside the Embassy.

28 MARCH 2023, Ottawa – The Sentro Rizal – Ottawa hosted Sayawan: Philippine Folk Dance Workshop on 25 March 2023 at the chancery’s Mindanao Hall.

The workshop is a collaboration of the Filipino Students Association of the University of Ottawa (FilSAUO) and Carleton University Filipino Students’ Association (CUFSA), with the Philippine Dance Troupe of Ottawa (PDTO).

Ambassador Maria Andrelita S. Austria welcomed the joint initiatives of the Filipino-Canadian youth and established cultural organizations in Ottawa to promote Filipino culture and heritage. Ambassador Austria added that this workshop was a welcome opportunity to increase awareness and cultivate a lasting interest in Philippine arts and culture among the youth in Ottawa.
