The Consular Section of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa will be open on the following date for our monthly Saturday consular service:
Saturday, 11 March 2023, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Applicants for consular services may now book an appointment through the following link until Friday, 10 March 2023:

Applicants should ensure that they bring with them the complete requirements for their transaction and photocopies of the required documents. There are no photocopying facilities inside the Embassy.

Baisas Brothers Win 2023 Winterlude Ice-Carving Championship

21 February 2023 – Brothers’ Antonio and Ross Baisas won first place in this year’s recently concluded Winterlude National Ice-Carving Championship.
Thirteen teams of two carvers each took part in the 45th edition of Winterlude, representing each Canadian province and territory. They had been given 20 hours to sculpt 15 blocks of ice and create a work of art inspired by the theme “Creatures of the Sea,” a nod to the underwater life of Canada’s oceans.
Representing Nova Scotia, the Baisas brothers presented their winning masterpiece, “Dinner Dance,” which is an ice sculpture of an octopus having a snack.

Embassy Personnel Participate in Training on Philippine Culture

13 February 2023 – The Philippine Embassy personnel participated in the echo training on Philippine culture held on 10 February 2023 at the Embassy’s Mindanao Hall. Cultural Officer and Attaché Jasmin Pajalla, who served as the resource speaker, shared about learning and appreciating our culture through the senses, and the methods and approaches in presenting Philippine culture and arts to a broader audience.
The echo training in Philippine culture was conducted following the Cultural Officers Retooling Course entitled Damá: Sensing Philippine Culture, held on 5 to 9 December 2022 in Manila, which was participated by all Cultural Officers of Philippine Foreign Service Posts with Sentro Rizal. END
