04 April, Ottawa - Personnel of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa recently underwent an extensive whole-day training on Emergency First Aid and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on 2 April 2022. The training was conducted by Ms. Camryn Saunders of The First Aid Guy, one of the accredited training institutions of the Canadian Red Cross.
Ms. Saunders provided PE personnel with technical and practical applications on how to handle life-threatening injuries ranging from choking, heart attack, stroke, bleeding injuries, allergies, fainting and other possible emergent situations. Ms. Saunders also facilitated simulation exercises on CPR for adults and infants, complete with adult and infant mannequins, and an assessment examination at the end of the session.
The Emergency First Aid and CPR training was held as the Philippine Embassy’s concluding activity for Philippine National Women’s Month under its Gender and Development Program.
