Personnel of the Embassy of the Philippines in Ottawa who have been deputized by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) of the Philippines to facilitate the conduct of overseas voting in Eastern Canada and Bermuda recently attended a preparatory training conducted virtually by COMELEC to acquaint them of rules and procedure to ensure a successful national election.

There are 6,391 registered Filipino overseas voters in Eastern Canada and 184 registered Filipino overseas voters in Bermuda who are eligible to vote.

Adopting the postal voting system, Filipino overseas voters in Eastern Canada and Bermuda will be receiving their election ballots through mail and they can return their completed election ballots through mail or personally drop them inside ballot boxes to be situated in the Embassy’s premises at 30 Murray Street, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada from 10 April 2022 (0900H Eastern Time) to 9 May 2022 (0700H Eastern Time).
