As part of the 18-day campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children (END VAWC), the Embassy of the Philippines in Canada, in cooperation with Immigrant Women Services Ottawa, invites Filipinos, especially Filipino women, in Ottawa, Gatineau, and nearby cities, to attend a seminar entitled:
"Preventing Gender-Based Violence among Immigrant Women"

283rd ASEAN Committee in Ottawa Heads of Mission Meeting

14 November 2023, Ottawa - The Heads of Mission of the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO) convened today to review its activities in 2023 as the High Commission of Malaysia hands over the ACO Chairmanship to Myanmar. In her remarks, High Commissioner of Malaysia, H.E. Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin, thanked the ACO team for their support and hard work in raising the profile of ASEAN in Canada. Incoming Chair H.E. U Hau Khan Sum noted that ACO will need to continue the momentum and take an even more active role in driving ASEAN-Canada relations. Philippine Ambassador to Canada Maria Andrelita S. Austria thanked the Malaysian High Commissioner for her wise leadership of ACO, and expressed her support and cooperation to the new ACO chair.
The ACO Chairmanship is a rotating 6-month term among the resident missions of ASEAN member states in Ottawa.
