Filipinos in Montreal register as overseas voters for the 2022 National Elections.
The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa conducted a one-day mobile registration for Overseas Absentee Voting (OAV) in Montreal, Quebec on 11 September 2021. This is the second OAV registration activity in as many months following the easing of provincial COVID-19 health restrictions and inter-provincial travel
In organizing the mobile voter’s registration, Ambassador Rodolfo Robles said: “We continue to facilitate the registration of Filipino overseas voters for the 2022 National Elections to ensure their continued engagement in the affairs of their motherland.”

We are pleased to announce that a consular outreach in Halifax, Nova Scotia will be conducted by the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa on the following dates:
Thursday, October 28, 2021, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM;
Friday, October 29, 2021, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM;
Saturday, October 30, 2021, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM;
Sunday, October 31, 2021, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM; and
Monday, November 1, 2021, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

The consular team will provide passport services only (application and renewal).

The link will accept reservations beginning Sunday, October 17, 2021, at 7:00 PM (Ottawa time).
Applicants should ensure that they bring with them complete requirements when they arrive at the venue for their transaction, particularly photocopies of required documents. There are no photocopying facilities at the venue. The requirements for passport application and renewal may be viewed at this page on our website:

Please note that, due to existing COVID-19 restrictions on physical distancing and the size of the venue space, walk-in clients cannot be accommodated.
Under the current health guidelines of Nova Scotia, the hotel requires that all applicants present proof of full vaccination before they enter the outreach venue.
The wearing of face coverings/masks shall be required of all applicants at the venue.

The Embassy is pleased to inform Filipinos in Montreal and surrounding areas that it will hold a one-day mobile voter registration outreach in the city.
Date : 11 September 2021 (Saturday)
Time : 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Venue : Ramada Plaza Montreal
6445 Decarie Blvd., Montreal, Quebec
No appointment is required to register as an overseas voter.
Prospective OAV registrants will be required to bring one of the following as proof of identity and citizenship, namely:
- Valid or renewed Philippine passport with a photocopy of the passport’s bio-page; or
- Dual citizenship documents (Identification Certificate, Order of Approval, and Oath of Allegiance).
Minimum public health protocols will be enforced, including mandatory use of face masks and the observance of physical distancing.

28 August 2021, Montreal – As the Province of Quebec loosened restrictions on public gatherings, the Embassy of the Philippines in Ottawa conducted a Town Hall Meeting with Filipino community leaders in Montreal. This was the first in-person meeting of Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles with the Filipino diaspora in Canada since he assumed office in October of last year.
