The Philippines is the proud host of this year’s Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH) Asia Pacific Week on 18-20 October 2022 in Manila. The Asia Pacific Week Manila 2022 will center around the theme of “Enabling cross-border cooperation in the region and beyond.” Conference sessions will provide a unique opportunity for participants to learn more about the HCCH and its work, engage with experts from across Asia and the Pacific, and to consider regional experiences.

Personnel of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa received plaques of participation for their involvement in the Coastal Clean-Up and Swimming Survival Initiative projects organized to commemorate the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA MO). The plaques were handed by Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III to First Secretary and Consul Jeffrey Salik, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Leo Marco Vidal, Mr. Angelito Castillo, Mr. Felix De Vera III, Ms. Aisha Turingan, Mr. Rodel Bendicio, Ms. Josephine Gonato, and Mr. Earl Tamayo.

The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa commemorated the annual Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA MO) in September by undertaking a Coastal Clean-Up of Britannia Beach in West Ottawa, a Swimming Survival Initiative, and the awarding of plaques of participation to its personnel who participated in these events.
The various activities were intended to promote awareness and protection of the marine environment and the management of marine resources.

The consular team will provide passport services, notarization/legalization, and other consular services during the mission.
