The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa commemorated the annual Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA MO) in September by undertaking a Coastal Clean-Up of Britannia Beach in West Ottawa, a Swimming Survival Initiative, and the awarding of plaques of participation to its personnel who participated in these events.
The various activities were intended to promote awareness and protection of the marine environment and the management of marine resources.

The City of Ottawa issued a Cleaning the Capital Certificate to the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa in appreciation for the Coastal Clean-Up undertaken as part of its Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA MO) commemorative activities for September.

The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, through Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III, hosted a luncheon to discuss current immigration policies of Canada. Attended by senior diplomats from Asia-Pacific diplomatic missions in Ottawa, Senior Director Shannon-Marie Soni from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) shared updates on Canada’s immigration policies during the event held at Mindanao Hall of the Embassy’s Chancery.
The Filipino diaspora in Canada is estimated at almost one million, the second largest after the Filipino diaspora in the United States. Catering to the needs of the Filipinos across Canada is the legislated priority of Philippine Posts in Canada (PPC).
Philippine Embassy Opens Info Boot at the Montreal Fiesta Extravaganza

27 August 2022, Montreal - The Philippine Embassy joined the “Montreal Fiesta Extravaganza 2022: Summer Balik Saya” festivities held at Montreal’s MacKenzie-King Park. The Embassy opened an information booth for consular, travel, and assistance-to-national inquiries.
Fiesta Extravaganza is a summer event roving across Canada in celebration of Filipino heritage.
Montreal was the final stop of the Fiesta Extravaganza, following successful events in Hamilton, Niagara Falls, Vaughan, and Toronto.
