PHILIPPINE NATIONAL ELECTIONS 2025

Registered Filipino overseas voters (in Posts/Countries adopting online voting) may vote online in the May 12, 2025 elections.

To participate, you must be pre-enrolled as an online voter. Pre-enrolment for online voting via the COMELEC Voting Portal is from March 10 to May 7, 2025.

The 30-day overseas voting period is from 13 April 2025 until 12 May 2025, at 7:00PM Philippine Standard Time.

12 August 2023, Ottawa- Philippine Ambassador to Canada Ma. Andrelita S. Austria joined Friends of One Vision, led by Betty Obas, the Ottawa Senior Citizens of Ottawa Valley and members of the Filipino Community on their 8th annual picnic at the Brittania Park, Ottawa. Member of Parliament for Nepean Chandra Arya also graced the occasion.

Through its various activities, Friends of One Vision has contributed to local non profit organizations, such as Cornerstone Housing for Women, children of Ala Eh in Batangas, Philippines and Terry Fox Centre-Encounters, and the Ottawa Seniors Citizens of Ottawa Valley.- END

8 August 2023, Ottawa- Philippine Ambassador to Canada Ma. Andrelita S. Austria met with Global Affairs Canada Assistant Deputy Minister for Asia Weldon Epp at the Mindanao Hall of the Embassy of the Philippines in Ottawa. During the meeting, they discussed various areas of cooperation between the Philippines and Canada, including people-to-people ties, defense and security, agriculture and fisheries, among others.

During their meeting, they shared information on developments in their respective countries’ relations with Canada.

PR 122 2023 Meeting with Sen Stan Kutcher 1Aug23

1 August 2023, Ottawa- Philippine Ambassador to Canada Ma. Andrelita S. Austria received Senator Stan Kutcher at the Chancery of the Embassy of the Philippines in Ottawa. During their meeting, Ambassador Austria and Senator Kutcher highlighted areas of mutual interest from immigration to agriculture and fisheries cooperation.

Ambassador Austria took the opportunity to raise the issue of credentials recognition, especially of Philippine-educated and -licensed healthcare workers in Canada who cannot practice their profession in Canada. A well-respected mental health professional in Canada, Senator Kutcher has been advocating for certain federally-led initiatives to overcome long-standing barriers to internationally-educated physicians from practicing in Canada.

Senator Kutcher will be leading a parliamentary delegation to Manila later this year.
