The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, led by Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III, welcomed representatives of the Filipino diaspora in Canada’s National Capital Region to “The Pinatubo Aetas,” a photo exhibit by Toronto-based Johann Bona.
Held at Sentro Rizal Ottawa, the photo exhibit promotes National Indigenous Peoples Month celebrated each October in the Philippines.
The exhibit runs from 18 to 21 October 2022 and is open to the public from 1000H to 1700H.

In celebration of Philippine National Indigenous Peoples Month, the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, led by Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III, hosted “The Pinatubo Aetas,” a photo exhibit by Toronto-based Johann Bona.
The exhibit opened on 18 October 2022 at Sentro Rizal Ottawa to representatives from the diplomatic corps, parliamentarians from the Canada-Philippines Interparliamentary Friendship Group, and officials from Global Affairs Canada
The exhibit runs from 18 to 21 October 2022 and is open to the public from 1000H to 1700H.

6 October 2022, Montreal. The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, represented by Consul General Jeffrey Salik, joined the dinner celebrating the 31st Anniversary of the Kahirup (Hiligaynon) Association of Quebec (KAQ) held in Montreal on 1 October 2022.
One of the main projects of KAQ is to provide scholarships to students in the Negros, Iloilo, and Guimaras, among others.
KAQ is one of the oldest and largest regional organizations in Quebec. Based on the 2021 Canada Census, there are 14,290 speakers of Hiligaynon, Kinaray-a, and Aklanon across Canada.
