A delegation from the American Field Service (AFS) Intercultural Program Philippines, led by its President Rahiema Bagis-Guerra, attended the Global Conference of the American Field Service (AFS) Intercultural Programs held in Montreal, Quebec.
AFS organizes the exchange program participated in by secondary school students with the intention of “helping build a more peaceful world by promoting understanding among cultures.” Filipino secondary school students actively participate in the AFS educational exchange program.

We are pleased to announce that a consular outreach in Montreal, Quebec, will be conducted by the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa on the following dates:
Saturday, October 19, 2019 (11am to 7pm); and
Sunday, October 20, 2019 (9am to 1pm)

For regular passport renewal, we will implement an online appointment system. Please use this link:

The appointment system will be ready to accept reservations on October 16 (Wednesday) at 1pm.
Persons with disabilities, senior citizens (persons 60 years old and above), pregnant women, and children below 7 years old do not need to book an appointment. A special lane will be provided and they will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
In case all the slots have been taken, kindly wait for our next outreach in Montreal, which is tentatively scheduled in the second week of November. Alternatively, you may visit the Embassy in Ottawa from 9am to 5pm on weekdays (except Canadian and Philippine holidays) with no appointment necessary.
You may also visit the Embassy during our once-a-month Saturday services, which are announced on our website and Facebook page about one week before the scheduled date. The next schedule is tentatively set for November 2, 2019.
For the following services, no appointment is necessary. Please ensure that you will come with all the requirements, as it will be on a first-come first served basis:
- Notarial services for affidavits and SPAs (the requirements are here: http://ottawape.dfa.gov.ph/index.php/2016-04-12-08-36-34/2016-04-13-03-10-46/legalization-of-documents)
- NBI clearance fingerprinting. Please bring one colored ID photo (sized 2” x 2”), photocopy of your valid passport, and payment of CAD 36.25 in cash.
