Notice on the Adjustment of Consular Fees Effective 16 June 2019
Effective 16 June 2019, Philippine consular offices in Canada will implement an adjustment of consular fees brought about by changes in the Canadian currency exchange rate vis-à-vis the US dollar. While the changes will affect the fees as denominated in Canadian dollars, the prescribed consular fees pegged in US dollars remain unchanged. Philippine consular offices will accept payment in either US or Canadian dollars.
The new schedule of consular fees will be implemented at the consular section of the Embassy in Ottawa and the Consulates General in Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver, as well as at all consular outreach missions across Canada.
A review of the exchange rate parity between the US and Canadian dollar is conducted on a quarterly basis. Any determination of holding the conversion rate, or undertaking an upward or downward adjustment, would be in accordance with prevailing exchange market conditions and short- to medium-term analysis and outlook.
