31 July 2017, Ottawa - Philippine Ambassador to Canada Petronila P. Garcia chaired the 253rd Meeting of the Heads of Mission of the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO) held today at the Mindanao Hall of the Philippine Embassy in Canada. The ACO is composed of the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, the High Commission of Malaysia, the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand, and the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The Philippine Embassy is chair of the ACO from July to December 2017.—END--

24 July 2017, Ottawa, Canada, personnel of the Philippine Embassy gathered in Chelsea, Quebec for their annual team building activities aimed at strengthening esprit de corps and promote team cohesion.
After day-long activities of team games and a 9-hole frisbee golf, personnel of the Philippine Embassy concluded the activities with the awarding of prizes to winning individuals and groups.

The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa organized a lecture on "Introduction to Maritime Domain Awareness" on 29 June 2017 at the Mindanao Hall of the Chancery as part of its Personnel Continuing Education Program (PCEP). The lecture was attended by personnel of the Embassy and members of the Filipino Student Association in the University of Ottawa.
