Ambassador Robles Leads Discussion on Migration at Bi-Annual Bilateral Meeting

Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles led the discussion on labor and migration at the recently concluded 5th Meeting of the Philippines-Canada Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation, the bi-annual high-level discussion between Manila and Ottawa.
The Philippine delegation to the virtual meeting was led by Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Elizabeth Buensuceso while the Canadian side was led by Assistant Deputy Foreign Minister Paul Thoppil. In addition to Ambassador Robles, the Philippine delegation was composed of senior officials from foreign affairs, civil defense, law enforcement, agriculture, economic development, trade, science and technology, and education agencies.
The Filipino diaspora in Canada is the second largest after Filipino-Americans in the United States and is estimated to have reached 940,883 at the end of 2019 based on immigration data.
Baisas Brothers Win Winterlude National Ice-Carving Competition

1 March 2021, Ottawa – The recently concluded 43rd Winterlude Festival saw veteran Filipino-Canadian ice sculptors Antonio Baisas and Ross Baisas bag first and second place, respectively, in the first ever National Ice-Carving Competition.
The Festival saw seven of Canada’s top ice sculptors competing simultaneously from their cities to submit entries on the theme “winter fun.” The sculptors were each given eight blocks of ice and 28 hours to complete their creations.

We will provide passport services only (application and renewal).
All applicants must book an appointment through the following link beginning Friday, 5 March 2021, at 12:00 noon (Ottawa time):

Applicants should ensure that they bring with them complete requirements when they arrive at the Embassy for their transaction, inlcuding photocopies of required documents. There are no photocopying facilities inside the Embassy.
