PHILIPPINE NATIONAL ELECTIONS 2025

Registered Filipino overseas voters (in Posts/Countries adopting online voting) may vote online in the May 12, 2025 elections.

To participate, you must be pre-enrolled as an online voter. Pre-enrolment for online voting via the COMELEC Voting Portal is from March 10 to May 7, 2025.

The 30-day overseas voting period is from 13 April 2025 until 12 May 2025, at 7:00PM Philippine Standard Time.

8 August 2022, Ottawa – The ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO) hosted a celebration of 55^th ASEAN Day on 8 August 2022 at the Chancery of the Indonesian Embassy in Ottawa. The ACO Heads of Mission were joined by their counterparts from ASEAN dialogue partners with diplomatic missions in Ottawa. Assistant Deputy Minister Paul Thoppil of Global Affairs Canada was the Guest of Honor.

PR 150 2022 Philippine Embassy Joins ASEAN Day Celebration

Personnel of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa attended the 2022 celebration of ASEAN Day in Ottawa.

The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa participated in the 55th anniversary celebration of the founding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) organized by the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO) on 8 August 2022.

Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III was joined by Third Secretary Leo Marco C. Vidal, Third Secretary Jan Michael B. Gomez, Attaché Anginel C. Padilla-Conchas, and Acting Cultural Officer Jasmin R. Pajalla.

The Philippine Embassy contributed pancit palabok and turon to the ASEAN cuisine served to members of the diplomatic corps who attended the event.

The loyalty awardees posed with their certificates and silver pins during the simple ceremony at the Chancery’s patio.

The Embassy of the Philippines in Ottawa, through Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III, awarded certificates and silver pins to its personnel who celebrated milestones in their service to the country. Recognized during the Embassy’s annual summer grill festivity were Mr. Noel E. Sancon (30 years), Ms. Josephine L. Gonato (25 years), and Ms. Jasmin R. Pajalla (20 years).

PR 147 2022 Philippine Embassy in Canada Joins the Filipino Nationa in Mourning the Passsing of Fidel V. Ramos

03 August 2022 – The Philippine Embassy in Canada joins the Filipino Nation, in the Philippines, Canada, and around the world, in mourning the passing of Fidel V. Ramos, the 12^th President of the Philippines, on 31 July 2022. There will be a 10-day period of national mourning until 09 August 2022.

President Ramos conducted a State Visit to Canada in November 1997. While in Canada, he visited the Filipino Communities in Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg, and Vancouver. While President, he also welcomed then Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien on an official visit to Manila in January 1997.
