02 August 2022 – The Philippine Embassy in Canada commenced the commemoration of the Buwan ng Wika (Month of the Filipino Language) in Ottawa through the distribution of Filipino Language story books and coloring books to second generation Filipinos. The activity was conducted on the first working day of the month.
Among those who received books is 4-year-old Klay Mathew who was excited to learn more about the Filipino language.

02 August 2022 – The Philippine Embassy in Canada promoted Filipino Culture at the Carlington Neghborhood in Ottawa, Ontario last 31 July 2022 as part of the International Taste of Canada event of the Caldwell Family Center.
The Embassy shared information about the Philippines and served a vegetarian Pancit for the local residents to enjoy. The Embassies of Mexico and India, and volunteers from the Jamaican, Syrian, Ukrainian, and Somalian communities in the area also participated in the event.

We are pleased to announce that a consular outreach in Montreal, Quebec, will be conducted by the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa on the following dates:
Saturday, 13 August 2022, 08:00 AM to 7:00 PM and
Sunday, 14 August 2022, 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

The consular team will only provide passport services (application and renewal) and consular notarization/legalization at the consular outreach mission.
