PHILIPPINE NATIONAL ELECTIONS 2025

Registered Filipino overseas voters (in Posts/Countries adopting online voting) may vote online in the May 12, 2025 elections.

To participate, you must be pre-enrolled as an online voter. Pre-enrolment for online voting via the COMELEC Voting Portal is from March 10 to May 7, 2025.

The 30-day overseas voting period is from 13 April 2025 until 12 May 2025, at 7:00PM Philippine Standard Time.

PR 152 2023 PEI Townhall MEETING

19 September 2023, Ottawa - The Philippine Embassy met with leaders of the Filipino community and business owners in Prince Edward Island on 15 September 2023 at Charlottetown’s City Hall. Deputy Head of Mission Myca Magnolia Fischer informed the community about its services and programs. During the discussions, the Filipino Community shared the opportunities they enjoyed in PEI as well as some of the challenges and concerns they encountered in living and working in the island. Also in attendance was Mayor Philip Brown of Charlottetown acknowledged the contribution of hard-working Filipinos to the development of his city. He also identified key programs and agencies within PEI which may be of help to the Filipino community.

Philippine Embassy Joins ASEAN Committee in Ottawa's Family Day Bowling 2023

11 September 2023, Ottawa - Philippine Embassy personnel and their families participated in the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa’s (ACO) Family Day on 9 September 2023 at the Anik Bowling Centre in Gatineau. The ACO Family Day is an annual event aimed at deepening camaraderie and friendship among members and families of the ASEAN missions in Ottawa.

Under the current ACO Chairmanship of the High Commission of Malaysia, a bowling activity was organized this year with personnel and family members of every ASEAN member’s mission mixed together to form different teams. At the end of the bowling tournament, ACO personnel and family members shared with each other dishes and desserts from their own countries.

PR 149 2023 Philippines Participates in 18th ICAO TRIP Symposium

Ottawa, 16 September 2023. The Philippines participated in the 18th Symposium of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Traveler Identification Programme (TRIP) and Joint International Criminal Police Organization Biometrics Forum held in Montreal, Quebec on 12-14 September 2023.

The 18th edition of TRIP Symposium focused on “Enhancing Traveler Mobility through Technology and Innovation” and featured presentations from traveler identification and mobility experts, and the sharing of experiences from countries that have benefited from adopting biometric technology, ePassport and digital travel credentials.

This year celebrates the national theme “Kapuluan, Kabuluhan, Kaunlaran” (Archipelago, Significance, and Development) to underscore the essence of our archipelagic nation’s unique identity and emphasize the crucial role that our archipelago and its marine resources play in our journey toward sustainable development.
