The Philippine Embassy will be conducting a consular outreach mission to Saskatchewan. The schedule of the consular clinic is as follows:

The clinic will provide the following services:
- Passport Application (By appointment only)
- Overseas Voter Registration (Application for registration/certification only)
- NBI Clearance fingerprinting
- Dual Citizenship Applications
- Notarial and Authentication (Some limitations apply)
IMPORTANT
The filing of passport applications is by appointment only. Booking of appointment in Saskatoon is done directly only with the Fay Santos-Vargas, Community Facilitator. For appointments in Regina, call directly the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa only. For all other non-passport related services, an appointment is not necessary.
For passport appointments, the Embassy requests the parties listed below, who could not be accommodated during the previous outreach in Regina and Saskatoon to book their appointments.
Those on the list for Saskatoon are requested to confirm their priority status and their intention to file a passport application by calling +1.306.292.6452 on or before 9 October 2017. Kindly indicate the full name, email address, telephone number and preferred place, day and time of the appointment.
Those on the list for Regina are requested to confirm their priority status and their intention to file a passport application by calling +1.613.233.1121 on or before 9 October 2017. Kindly indicate the full name, email address, telephone number and preferred place, day and time of the appointment.
A limited number of slots are being made available for others not on the list beginning 10 October.

PHILIPPINE AMBASSADOR DISCUSSED FILIPINO MIGRATION WITH CANADIAN PARLIAMENTARIAN

Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia met with Mr. Marco Mendicino, Liberal Party member of parliament for Toronto Eglinton-Lawrence, to exchange views on the situation of the Filipino diaspora in Canada. The two leaders noted the favorable condition of an overwhelming majority of Filipinos and Filipino-Canadians in Canada. They then discuss the state of Philippine-Canada relations and agreed to continue the conversation to further improve this relationship.
MP Mendicino recently attended the Mabuhay Fiesta celebration in Toronto and is an active supporter of community events organized by Filipino organizations in the Greater Toronto Area.
Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia and MP Marco Mendicino agree to work together to strengthen Philippine-Canada relations with Deputy Chief of Mission FN Fernandez as witness.
BJMP OFFICIALS ATTEND SYMPOSIUM ON JAIL TECHNOLOGY

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) was represented by Jail Senior Superintendent Luisto Munoz, Director for Logistics, and Jail Superintendent Bernie Ruiz, Director for Intelligence, in the International Symposium on the Use of Technology in Correctional Environments organized by Correctional Service Canada in Ottawa from 3 to 4 October 2017.
The symposium discussed new technologies available to governments in the management of offenders serving their respective prison sentences or those placed in detention while their cases are undergoing trial.

TORONTO-BASED LABOR OFFICER VISITS OTTAWA

Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia received newly arrived Labor Officer Celeste Marie T. Ramos during the latter's courtesy call at the Chancery in Ottawa. Ms. Ramos will head the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Toronto and shall handle labor-related matters in provinces and territories falling under the consular jurisdiction of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa.
