The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa joins the Filipino community in mourning the loss of Senator Tobias Enverga, Jr. Senator Enverga was the lone Filipino-Canadian in the federal parliament. LABOR ADVISORY:
Effective November 15, 2017 and until December 1, 2017, the Department of Labor and Employment in the Philippines has issued a temporary suspension of OEC issuances, affecting only the following segment of OEC applicants:
a) Directly-hired applicants with no Philippine agency affiliation
b) Applicants backed by a Philippine recruitment agency

We wish to inform the public of an advisory from the Export Trade Complaints Committee (ETCC) of the Philippines against trading with Shin Premier International Merchant, a company allegedlly offers A4 paper products for exportation operated by a certain Yeng Rachel Shin and John Chow Shin, and the following companies that are engaging in advance payment scam:
1. Shin International Export Co.;
2. Shin Pulp Paper Supply;
3. Fushin International Enterprise;
4. Sheen Papel; and
5. Shin Group of Companies/Grupo de Empresa.
