The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa contracted the services of the Centre for Continuing Education of the University of Ottawa in delivering the latest installment of its Personnel Continuing Education Program (PCEP) through a workshop on "Dealing with Difficult Behaviors." Certified Executive Coach Jocelyne Durand facilitated the workshop participated in by Embassy personnel led by Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia.
Participants were introduced to patterns of difficult behaviors, their underlying causes, and Japanese Psychology techniques through the Morita and Naikan approaches. The new tools are expected to enhance the personnel's ability to deliver improved services to consular clients.

25 October 2017, Ottawa – Ambassador Petronila Garcia officially welcomed the business delegates from the Philippines who are visiting Toronto, Ottawa and Niagara and other attendees of the Trade and Investment Forum held today at the Mindanao Hall of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa. In her remarks, Ambassador Garcia included a briefing on the status of Philippines-Canada bilateral trade and investment relations.

PHILIPPINES JOINS THE INTERNATIONAL TOURISM AND TRAVEL SHOW 2017

20 October 2017, Montreal – The Philippines joined more than one hundred countries in the 29th International Tourism and Travel Show (ITTS) held at the Place Bonaventure in Montreal, Quebec. The ITTS, known as one of the largest tourism and travel shows in North American, runs from 20 to 22 October 2017 and showcases 400 tour operators, travel agents, and tourism offices under one roof.
As thousands of visitors flocked to the venue, the Philippines’ Department of Tourism, led by its office in New York, and Philippine Airlines (PAL) presented world-renowned sites in the Philippines to discerning travelers from Quebec and other parts of Canada and North America. Information materials on the upcoming Winter Escapade 5 from 3 to 11 February 2017 and tourism giveaways were also distributed to visitors.
The show included entertainment programs, conferences, food tasting, cultural shows and other activities. Salinggawi Philippine Arts Organization and Pamana ng LuzViMinda performed traditional Filipino dances during the ITTS. –END--
