 5 October 2017, Montreal – Officials from the Philippine Embassy based in Ottawa traveled to Montreal to meet with members of the Filipino community in a Town Hall Meeting organized on Thursday, 5 October 2017 at the Centre de Ressources de Cote de Neiges.

Led by Philippine Ambassador to Canada Petronila P. Garcia, the Embassy team updated the Filipino community and members of the local government on the Embassy’s ongoing programs. Ambassador Garcia spoke on the ongoing Overseas Voters Registration for the 2019 mid-term Philippine elections and encouraged Filipino-Canadians to register during the Embassy’s consular outreach missions in Montreal. She also invited the audience to join the fifth season of Winter Escapade which is scheduled on 3 to 11 February 2018.

First Secretary and Consul Greg Marie Mariño briefed the audience on the tour which has gained fame for combining unique and relaxing vacation sites with heritage and culinary elements. The next Winter Escapade will bring participants to Manila, Bacolod, and Davao.
