The Embassy’s Consular Section in Ottawa will be open on the following date for our monthly Saturday consular service:
Saturday, 17 July 2021, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
We will provide passport services only (application and renewal).
All applicants must book an appointment through the following link beginning Monday, 12 July 2021, at 12:00 noon (Ottawa time):

Applicants should ensure that they bring with them complete requirements when they arrive at the Embassy for their transaction, particularly photocopies of required documents. There are no photocopying facilities inside the Embassy.
As appointment slots for our Saturday services are filled quickly, we intend to provide an additional Saturday consular service on 24 July 2021. A confirmation announcement on this service will be posted in due course.

Please note that, due to existing COVID-19 restrictions in Ontario on physical distancing and the size of the Embassy’s consular space, walk-in clients cannot be accommodated.

Ambassador Robles Joins Celebration of 160th Birth Anniversary of Rizal

Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles joined the Knights of Rizal, Gatineau Chapter, in celebrating the 160th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Jose Rizal by laying a floral wreath before the bust of the national hero at Sentro Rizal Ottawa and sharing his thoughts on the qualities of the national hero in an online celebration where he attended as the Guest of Honor.
The Knights of Rizal, Gatineau Chapter, is led by Sir Danilo Arriola, KCR, and was chartered by the International Headquarters of the Knights of Rizal in 2018.

Embassy Personnel Attend CELPIP Seminar

16 June 2021 – Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles welcomes participants to the two-day virtual seminar on the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) test on 14 and 15 June 2021. The virtual seminar was hosted by the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, with assistance from the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Toronto, and conducted by Paragon Testing Enterprises. The webinar provided attendees with knowledge of the CELPIP tests as well as useful tips/resources for teaching test preparation and insight into the tests that prospective Filipino migrants to Canada need to take.
The virtual seminar forms part of the Embassy’s Plan of Action to implement its Credentials Recognition in Canada Project meant to facilitate the recognition of academic credentials and work experiences of Filipino migrants to Canada.
Philippine Flag Raised in Canada’s Capital

Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles led officials from the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa in raising the Philippine national flag at Ottawa City Hall on Monday morning, 14 June. Joining Ambassador Robles were federal Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino and Global Affairs Canada Director General Peter Lundy.

In his remarks, Ambassador Robles paid tribute to the sacrifices of Filipinos on the frontline of Canada’s health and service sectors. He welcomed the celebration of Filipino Heritage Month across Canada for the third time since Motion 155 authored by Scarborough Centre Member of Parliament Salma Zahid was unanimously adopted by the federal House of Commons last October, 2018. He then expressed the hope that the flying of the Philippine flag in the capital city of Canada will remind the almost one million Filipinos across the country of the struggle and sacrifices borne by their Filipino forebears in winning independence for the Philippines from colonial rule.
