Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles administers the oath of allegiance to applicants for reacquisition or retention of Filipino citizenship under R.A. No. 9225.
The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa provided consular passport services to Filipinos in Halifax and nearby areas from 28 October to 1 November 2021. This was the second consular outreach visit to Halifax since the start of the pandemic, occurring during periods when travel restrictions are eased. The consular team was led by First Secretary and Consul Jeffrey Salik.

Filipino Cultural Heritage Highlighted in Halifax

“Mana” is the contribution of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa to the common cultural program of Philippine Posts in Canada launched this year.
The participants to the Town Hall Meeting hosted by Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles last 30 October 2021 in Halifax, Nova Scotia were treated to the premier of “Mana: Conversations with Filipino Culture Bearers” with a viewing of the first episode featuring Joel and Henia Blunto of Sesotunawa.

Philippine Ambassador to Canada Rodolfo D. Robles conducted his first official visit to the Maritime province of Nova Scotia from 27 October to 2 November 2021.
In his meeting with Lieutenant Governor Arthur Joseph LeBlanc at Nova Scotia’s Government House, Ambassador Robles shared updates on the Philippines’ COVID-19 response. Noting their shared legal background, Ambassador Robles shared with Lieutenant Governor LeBlanc information on the work of the Philippine Ombudsman and efforts to draft a federal constitution for the country.
