18 March 2024, Ottawa - Philippine Ambassador Maria Andrelita S. Austria met with Canada’s International Development Minister Ahmed Hussen to discuss the Philippines’ development priorities and the specific areas that would benefit greatly from Canada’s assistance programming. Noting the importance of education in helping the Philippines and Filipinos adapt to future challenges, the Embassy also proposed cooperation in capacity-building initiatives and technology transfer in mutually-beneficial areas such as health care, climate change, etc.

18 MARCH 2024 - As part of the month-long celebration of 2024 National Women’s Month, the Embassy conducted a #SerbisyoParaKayJuana 2024 Saturday Consular Service on 16 March 2024.
The Embassy provided consular services to applicants from Ottawa and nearby provinces. The Embassy also provided purple-colored snacks to its clients, especially women and girls, as a special way to honor them in their month. END

6 March 2024, Ottawa – The Winter Escapade (WE), on its eighth season, brought more than 260 snowbirds from Canada, the United States, and Germany to experience Philippine summer in Manila, Iloilo, Cebu and Bohol in a 10-day all inclusive tour, from February 18 to 27, 2024.
Led by the Philippine Ambassador to Canada Maria Andrelita S. Austria and Philippine Consuls General Zaldy B. Patron (Calgary), Arlene T. Magno (Vancouver) and Angelica C. Escalona (Toronto), the tour kicked off with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Rizal Monument in Manila followed by visits to historical sites at Yuchengco and Sinigang Valley, Walled City of Intramuros, and Chinatown.
