8 May 2024, Ottawa - Secretary Enrique Manalo met with Canada’s International Trade Minister Mary Ng during his official visit to Ottawa on 08 May 2024. Noting recent high-level exchanges and conduct of events including the inaugural Philippine-Canada Joint Economic Commission hosted by the Philippines, the Philippine Economic Briefing in Toronto, and the 6th Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation in Ottawa, both agree that there exist untapped economic opportunities for both countries in each other’s’ market.

Secretary Manalo said that he looks forward to the upcoming Team Canada Trade Mission in December and that the Philippines is ready to work with Canada in ensuring the success of this activity. END
