The Embassy of the Philippines in Canada attended the meeting of the Canada-Philippines Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group held on Monday, 13 May 2019, in preparation for the first Filipino-Heritage Month celebrations scheduled in June. Present during the meeting were (from left to right) Mr. Danilo Arriola, Founder of the Philippine Dance Troupe of Ottawa (PDTO), Member of Parliament (MP) Wayne Stetski, MP Kevin Lamoureux, Chair of the Friendship Group, Philippine Ambassador to Canada Petronila Garcia, MP Alice Wong, and Ms. Nora Arriola, Chairperson of the Philippine Independence Committee of the Ottawa Valley (PICOV). 4 May 2019, Ottawa – The Embassy of the Philippines in Ottawa joined the Ottawa-Gatineau community in celebrating Asian Heritage Month on Saturday, 4 May 2019, at the “Experience Asia 2019” Festival held at the Maison du Citoyen (Citizens’ House) of Gatineau City Hall.
