Personnel of the Embassy of the Philippines in Ottawa who have been deputized by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) of the Philippines to facilitate the conduct of overseas voting in Eastern Canada and Bermuda recently attended a preparatory training conducted virtually by COMELEC to acquaint them of rules and procedure to ensure a successful national election.

29 March 2022, Ottawa – Participants of the Philippines-Canada Education Networking Session held today witnessed another milestone as the Philippine Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and several Canadian organizations declared their shared commitment to strengthening linkages and dialogue on higher education cooperation. Conducted at the Philippine Embassy Chancery’s Mindanao Hall, the event was attended by officials from CHED led by Chairman J. Prospero De Vera III, heads of Philippine universities and colleagues from Luzon and Visayas, as well as representatives of the Canadian Bureau of International Education, Colleges and Institutes Canada, and Universities Canada. Officials from Global Affairs Canada and Canadian educational institutions in Alberta, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Ontario also joined the event.
