8 February 2024, Ottawa – The Filipino-Canadian community in Ottawa joined the Philippine Embassy personnel, led by Ambassador Maria Andrelita S. Austria on Wednesday, 7 February 2024, in a simple yet meaningful Thanksgiving Mass, in celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Philippines-Canada diplomatic relations.
The Mass at the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica in Ottawa, was presided by Rector Rev. Fr. David Bergeron, c.c., and concelebrated by Filipino priest Rev. Fr. Francis Mateo OFM Conv., of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish. It was attended by the members of the Filipino-Canadian community in Ottawa, including members of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary 215.1st Division, and Knights of Rizal-Gatineau Chapter. Member of Parliament Michael Kram (Regina-Wascana, Saskatchewan), who is also a member of the Canada-Philippines Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group, joined the event.

These low-risk, fixed-income investments not only earn money, but also help the Philippines generate funding for our country's biggest priority projects and cover our national expenses.

Open Call for Curatorial Proposals for the Philippine Participation in the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2025

The Philippine Arts in Venice Biennale (PAVB) is now open for curatorial proposals for the Philippines’ participation at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia in 2025.
Filipino architects, curators, active artists in various disciplines, urban planners, ecological activists, geographers, historians, space critics, as well as heritage workers are welcome to put forward proposals. Emphasizing the discourse on architecture, the call encourages proposals grounded in research and interdisciplinary collaboration. The goal is to address global challenges, embrace sustainable and resilient design, foster inclusivity and social responsibility, and push the boundaries of architectural creativity. The Philippine Pavilion will be at The Arsenale, a major exhibition space in Venice, Italy.
Submission deadline: April 30, 2024. Results will be announced on May 31, 2024.
