12 January 2018, Ottawa. Philippine Honorary Consul General in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Hazel Alpuerto called on Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia today, 12 January 2018, at the Philippine Embassy.

During the call, Consul General, a.h. Alpuerto briefed the Ambassador on the latest developments in NL, especially on the activities of the Filipino community there.

As Philippine Honorary Consul General, she helps the Embassy in promoting Philippine interests in NL, mainly through trade, investment and tourism promotion, and the protection of rights and wellbeing of more than 1,500 Filipinos there. END
