The Embassy of the Philippines in Canada joins the nation in the observance of the 2024 National Disability Rights Week. This year’s theme is "Promoting Inclusion: Celebrating Abilities and Advocating Access."

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has declared July 17 to 23 of every year as the “National Disability Rights Week.” The declaration is part of the Philippines’ commitment to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). President Marcos said the Philippines is committed to promote, protect and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all persons with disabilities, and to promote respect for their inherent dignity.

Sentro Rizal Ottawa, in partnership with the Knights of Rizal, Ottawa-Gatineau Chapter, invites Filipino-Canadian parents to enroll their children to the Paaralan sa Pasuguan.

Paaralan sa Pasuguan is a two half-day summer camp for Filipino-Canadian children ages 7 to 12 to gain knowledge of Filipino culture and to understand and appreciate their rich Filipino heritage. Learn Philippine nursery rhymes, folk songs and tales at the Embassy!
