27 May 2019, Ottawa – In a simple ceremony held at the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, Ms. Consuel G. Lacson was sworn in as Philippine Honorary Consul in Halifax, Nova Scotia on 24 May 2019. Chargé d’Affaires ad interim and Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III administered her oath taking.

The Embassy of the Philippines in Canada attended the meeting of the Canada-Philippines Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group held on Monday, 13 May 2019, in preparation for the first Filipino-Heritage Month celebrations scheduled in June.
