18 June 2024, Ottawa – The Philippine Embassy in Canada hosted Palarong Pinoy, as part of the program of the Independence Day Picnic organized by the Philippine Independence Committee of the Ottawa Valley (PICOV) held on Sunday, 16 June 2024, at Clarke Fields Park. Both adults and kids participated in the Philippines’ traditional games such as patintero, sipa, and tumbang preso.

12 June 2024, Ottawa – In a statement before the Senate of Canada, Filipino-Canadian Senator Flordeliz “Gigi” Osler underscored the significant contributions of the Filipino communities across Canada on the occasion of the 126th Anniversary of Philippine Independence, the celebration of Filipino Heritage Month in Canada, and the 75th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the Philippines and Canada.
The session was attended by Philippine Ambassador to Canada, H.E. Maria Andrelita S. Austria, and the officers of the Philippine Embassy, as well as the participants of the National Philippine Parliamentary Internship Program. The session was preceded by the unfurling of a giant Philippine flag on Parliament Hill hosted by the Office of Senator Osler and the Canada-Philippines Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group. END
