PHILIPPINE NATIONAL ELECTIONS 2025

Registered Filipino overseas voters (in Posts/Countries adopting online voting) may vote online in the May 12, 2025 elections.

To participate, you must be pre-enrolled as an online voter. Pre-enrolment for online voting via the COMELEC Voting Portal is from March 10 to May 7, 2025.

The 30-day overseas voting period is from 13 April 2025 until 12 May 2025, at 7:00PM Philippine Standard Time.

08 November 2018, Ottawa – Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia welcomed ABS-CBN Broadcast Journalist Mr. Jeff Canoy at the Chancery. Mr. Canoy is the recipient of this year’s Marshal McLuhan Fellowship which is a flagship project of the Embassy of Canada in the Philippines in the field of public diplomacy. The project was launched in 1997 with the aim of encouraging responsible journalism in the Philippines, noting that a strong media is essential to a strong democratic society.

The recipient of the Marshal McLuhan Fellowship is brought on a study tour of Canada to interact with his counterparts and discuss issues of common interest. Mr. Canoy’s selection was based on his topic entitled “Reporting from the Margins: The role of journalism in covering crises and conflict situations,” which focused on the Marawi crises. END

08 November 2018, Ottawa – Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia received newly arrived Estonian Ambassador Toomas Lukk, Ambassador of Estonia to Canada, at the Chancery on 07 November 2018. As one of the senior diplomats in Ottawa and being the Dean of the Asia-Pacific Group of Ambassadors, Ambassador Garcia shared her experience in Canada and provided a brief description of the Filipino diaspora and its contribution to Canada’s multicultural society. -END-
