The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa attended the Rizal Day celebrations in Montreal hosted by the Mackenzie Central Chapter and the Montreal Chapter, both of the Knights of Rizal. Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III represented Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia in these celebrations, together with Attaché Rodel Bendicio.

Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia organized a Post-Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) for leaders of various Filipino community organizations in Regina, Saskatchewan last 21 December 2019.

Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel Fernandez III, First Secretary Greg Marie Mariño, and First Secretary Jeffrey Salik provided information on the assistance-to-nationals, cultural, and economic diplomacy services offered by Philippine Foreign Service Posts in Canada.

There were 40 participants in the event, representing 15 different Filipino community organizations in Regina.
