26 February 2018 - Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia called on Parliamentary Secretary for Consular Affairs, MP Omar Alghabra, to enlist his support in the promotion and protection of the rights of Filipino migrant workers in Canada. MP Alghabra and Ambassador Garcia discussed consular cases of concern to the Philippine Embassy and promised to work together to address them.

The Philippines will continue to participate in the Venice Biennale and once again announces the OPEN CALL FOR CURATORIAL PROPOSALS for the Philippine participation at the 58th Venice Art Biennale, initiated by la Fondazione la Biennale di Venezia.

The selected curatorial proposal will officially represent the Philippines in 2019 at the world’s oldest and significant exhibition platform for contemporary art. The deadline for the CALL is on 24 May 2018 (Thursday).
