25 November 2017, Ottawa – As the Philippine Exhibit “Halo-Halo: The Multicultural Roots of the Filipino Diaspora” continues at the International Pavilion on 7 Clarence Street, Ottawa, Singingtala Dance Company of St. John Paul II College of Davao City wowed the audience with a Gala Dance Performance at the aptly named Mindanao Hall of the Philippine Embassy, a stone’s throw away from the Pavilion.
Despite a rainy winter afternoon, more than one hundred people flocked to the Embassy to watch Siningtala perform colorful dances from different Mindanao tribes such as the B’laan, Manobo, Tausug, Bagobo, Maranao, and T’boli. The Siningtala Dance Company was also joined by members of the Philippine Dance Troupe of Ottawa (PDTO) who participated in a dance workshop conducted by Siningtala.
The Siningtala Dance Company will be performing at the International Pavilion everyday until 8 December 2017 at 11:30 am and 4:00 pm (except Mondays). – END --
