We are pleased to announce that the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa will conduct a consular outreach in Halifax on the following dates:
Date: Saturday,03 May 2025, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
Sunday, 04 May 2025, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
The consular team will provide passport services, legalization, reports of birth, marriage and death, NBI clearance, information and enrollment assistance on the Overseas Voting and Counting System (OVCS) for registered Filipino overseas voters.

We urge applicants not to bring with them people who have no consular business to conduct as the crowd will be tightly managed at the venue. Travel companions may wait outside the venue. Appearance is strictly by appointment only.

Please make sure to bring your complete documentary requirements, their photocopies, and cash or debit card for payment.

OTTAWA-BASED OVERSEAS VOTER BECOMES FIRST TO ENROLL FOR THE PHILIPPINES’ INTERNET VOTING VIA COMELEC KIOSK

Mr. Michael Ferrer successfully enrolled for the internet voting using the COMELEC kiosk
1 April 2025, Ottawa –Today, Mr. Michael Ferrer, an active overseas voter from Ottawa, ON, became the first registered to successfully enroll for the Philippines' internet voting system using the COMELEC kiosk. Mr. Ferrer, a permanent resident in Canada, took the important step of verifying his identity as a Filipino registered voter ahead of the 2025 Philippine National Election. Through his enrolled account, he will have access to the digital ballot when the overseas voting period begins on 13 April 2025.
Mr. Ferrer using the COMELEC kiosk for pre-voting enrollment
The pre-voting enrollment period runs from 22 March to 07 May 2025. During this period, registered overseas voters may enroll via their own internet-capable devices. The kiosk is available to registered voters who are pregnant, with disabilities, seniors or not able to successfully enroll using their own internet devices.
To avoid inconvenience, said registered voters are advised to send an email first to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for guidance prior to going to the Embassy where the kiosk is stationed. Said email account is the Embassy’s dedicated email to address concerns on internet voting.
This initiative is a key step towards enabling overseas Filipinos to vote remotely in the upcoming national election, overcoming barriers like distance and time zones.
The official voting period will begin on 13 April 2025, at 8:00 AM (ET) and end on 12 May 2025, at 7:00 AM (ET). The Embassy encourages all registered overseas Filipinos to enroll in order to participate in the internet voting to exercise their right to vote.
