26 July 2017, Ottawa – Ambassador Petronila Garcia welcomed APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) Philippine Chair Tomas Alcantara and his delegation to Toronto on 24 July 2017. They are in Toronto to attend the 3rd meeting APEC Business Advisory Council Meeting for 2017 at the Ritz-Carlton on 24-28 July 2017 in preparation for its high-level debriefing with APEC leaders in Vietnam on 4-7 November 2017.

ABAC PH alternate members Mr. Guillermo Luz and Mr. Francis Chua, and ABAC PH lead staffer Mr. Peter Perfecto are also attending the 3rd ABAC Meeting.

Philippine Consul General in Toronto Rosalita Prospero, Minister for Economic Affairs and Consul General Eric Gerardo Tamayo, Second Secretary and Consul Jeffrey Salik and Consul Edwin Gil Mendoza joined the Ambassador in welcoming the delegation to Toronto.
