Ottawa Travel Vacation Show 2018

18 March 2018, Ottawa – Crowds gathered over the weekend at Ottawa’s Shaw Centre where the Philippines joined other exhibitors during the Travel and Vacation Show held from 17 to 18 March 2018. Focused exclusively on destination and travel, the show hosted more than 190 travel exhibits from different countries and travel organizations.

The Department of Tourism Office in New York spearheaded the Philippine exhibit in cooperation with the Embassy of the Philippines in Canada. Special focus was placed on the islands of Palawan and Cebu, consistently ranked by travelers among the top 10 best islands in the world, as well as various premier diving destinations in the Philippines.

The two-day event also featured “ASEAN Happy Hour” – a food sampling of authentic Southeast Asian cuisine hosted by the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO) and a seminar on “Exciting ASEAN: “A Myriad of Rich and Diverse Cultures” featuring different tourist destinations in the region. END.
