Turn Over

19 July, Ottawa – Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia is poised to become the Dean of the Asia Pacific Ambassadors’ Group in August as the current Dean of the group, the Ambassador of Mongolia to Canada, ends his tour of duty.

Ambassador Radnaabazar Altangerel of Mongolia called on Ambassador Garcia today, 19 July, to officially turn over to the Philippine Embassy the documents relating to continuing projects and programs of the Asia Pacific Ambassadors’ Group in Ottawa that include, among others, the Group’s regular monthly luncheons and the Queen’s Ambassadors’ Forum held in spring and autumn each year.

The Asia Pacific Ambassadors’ Group is comprised of the heads of missions of 19 countries namely: (1) Mongolia; (2) Philippines; (3) Brunei Darussalam; (4) Indonesia; (5) Australia; (6) Nepal; (7) Thailand; (8) Japan; (9) Sri Lanka; (10) Pakistan; (11) Malaysia; (12) New Zealand; (13) Bangladesh; (14) Myanmar; (15) Afghanistan; (16) Vietnam; (17) India; (18) People’s Republic of China; and (19) Republic of Korea.
