5 March 2025, Ottawa – The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa participated in the 2025 Embassy Fair on March 4, 2025, held at the Jock Turcot University Centre at the University of Ottawa (Uottawa). The event was organized by the International House of Uottawa and attended by diplomatic missions and organizations to showcase the country's culture, educational programs, tourism opportunities, and consular services to the University community. The event offered the University students, faculty, and visitors the opportunity to explore global cultures, services, and travel opportunities.

The Embassy set up its booth with some Philippine handicrafts, textiles, and tourism materials. Post introduced the Expedition Philippines (XP), a tour package exclusively crafted for Millennials and Gen Z to experience the Philippines which is scheduled for August 2025. XP promotes the Philippines as an ideal destination for young travelers, offering a diverse range of experiences from pristine beaches to vibrant city life. Post distributed XP flyers as a teaser campaign, tourism materials on prime tourist destinations, and Bisita Be My Guest’s souvenir bags with comic book “The Stories of Teacher Jun” to those who visited the booth.

Booth visitors had the chance to engage with embassy representatives, seeking information on Filipino culture, customs, and travel prospects. The booth provided visitors with learning about the country’s rich history and exciting destinations. In addition to the tourism component, the Embassy offered a taste of Filipino cuisine, served up crispy pork spring rolls and puto flan, which gave the visitors a flavorful introduction to Philippines' culinary delights.

The Philippine Embassy’s participation in this event served as a strategic effort to connect with younger audiences, particularly university students, and generate interest in the Expedition Philippines tour.
