PR 203 2023 Visit to the Embassy of the Filipino Quebecer Association

27 October 2023 – Representatives of the Filipino Quebecer Association (FQA) or the Association Philippine-Quebecoise, led by its adviser and former president Rosie Catena, visited the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa to share information on the growing Filipino community in Quebec City as well as on the organization’s plans and programs, including its desire to have a monument of Jose Rizal built in the City.

Relatedly, FQA representatives donated to the Embassy’s Sentro Rizal a historical fantasy novel entitled “Si Jose Rizal sa Loob at Labas ng Kagila-gilalas na Daigdig ni Ato”  by Frank G. Rivera.

Sentro Rizal Ottawa (SRO) is based at the Chancery of the Embassy of the Philippines in Canada. It is one of the over 30 branches of Sentros Rizal throughout the world. Inaugurated on 10 May 2018, SRO conducts activities on Philippine arts, culture, and language.
