Personnel of the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa received plaques of participation for their involvement in the Coastal Clean-Up and Swimming Survival Initiative projects organized to commemorate the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA MO). The plaques were handed by Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III to First Secretary and Consul Jeffrey Salik, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Leo Marco Vidal, Mr. Angelito Castillo, Mr. Felix De Vera III, Ms. Aisha Turingan, Mr. Rodel Bendicio, Ms. Josephine Gonato, and Mr. Earl Tamayo.
MANA MO is an annual celebration in September organized by the Philippine Government to create awareness of the rich maritime history of the Philippines and the important role played by the marine environment in its national development.
