Ambassador Rodolfo D. Robles, in his capacity as chair of the ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO), welcomed Deputy International Trade Minister John F.G. Hannaford in a virtual ACO meeting he hosted this afternoon. Deputy Minister Hannaford shared his thoughts on ASEAN-Canada relations.

During his chairmanship, Ambassador Robles initiated a monthly dialogue with senior officials of Global Affairs Canada as a contribution to enhancing ASEAN-Canada relations.

The ASEAN Committee in Ottawa (ACO) is composed of the heads of the diplomatic missions in Ottawa from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
