13 March 2020, Ottawa – Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia attended the luncheon in honor of Women Heads of Missions in Ottawa hosted by Governor General Julie Payette held on 11 March 2020 at Rideau Hall. The luncheon coincides with the worldwide and month-long celebration of Women’s Month for calendar year 2020.
Before being invested as Canada’s 29th Governor General in October 2017, and consequently Head of State, Governor General Julie Payette was an engineer, scientific broadcaster, corporate director, and astronaut by profession. Rideau Hall is the official residence of the Governor General of Canada. —END—
