 2 April 2019, Ottawa – The Filipino Community in Victoria extended a warm welcome to Philippine Ambassador to Canada Petronila P. Garcia during her recent visit to the provincial capital of British Columbia. Ambassador Garcia, who was accompanied by Philippine Consul General to Vancouver Ma. Andrelita Austria and First Secretary and Consul Greg Marie Mariño, attended the 50th Anniversary Gala of the Victoria Filipino Canadian Association held on Saturday, 30 March 2019. She also joined the Filipino community the next day for the theatre production “Our Story (In Songs and Dances),” a musical show tracing the history of the VFCA from 1969 to 2019. END.
